Lyle Kirk Choir presently meets at 10.00 in the Upper Room of Newark Street. If all members come, we have a choir numbering around 10. In order to build on this, we would like to hear about interested people from members of the congregation, perhaps friends of current members; or you may know someone from outwith Lyle Kirk who might be interested – soprano, alto, tenor or bass. Main qualification is to be able to sing in tune. We are a happy bunch and the banter is good. (If you want to bring sweets for during the sermon, make sure they are not “sticky” ones !) For a period of time we have been singing an introit at the beginning of the service, but would like to contribute more to the service – hence we are looking for more members. Over the last couple of years, we have teamed up with other choirs, notably Alexandria Parish Church Choir for Songs of Praise and Stainer’s ‘Crucifixion’, these being very rewarding for both choirs and churches.
